The intensity (difficulty) level is from fairly easy to quite strenuous. www.sdnhm.org

KAYAKING takes place in Aqua Hedionda Lagoon on Carlsbad State Beach and San Elijo State Beach and places afar. The lagoon is the most passive of waters available locally. On any given day you might see birds such as a variety of hawks, Osprey, snowy egrets, great egrets, blue herons, skimmers, terns, coots, cormorants, and other species; and we snorkel too!! The Oceanside Harbor is another fabulous option...sealions frolick about and the occasional dolphin may wonder into the outer reaches of the harbor. Be treated to underwater wonders and get close up to the birdlife at the harbor. For those with more experience, we venture outside the harbor for some sea exploration. Join us for a Baja trip to either San Felipe, Bahia de los Angeles, or Scammons Lagoon. Great weather, sealife, clam digging, whale watching, and exploring.

BACKPACKING.
